Des Moines, IA is bustling with fantastic, severely underrated artists…but I’m confident that won’t be the case for long. One of my longtime collaborators and a local artist, Jonathan Pearson is currently hard at work on new posters, as well as T-shirt and album design for the soon to be released “Modern Saints EP.” Jon works at 8/7 Central doing design work during the daytime, and in the evening he crafts his own unique paintings, as well as helps up and coming musicians (like Finn Miles) to look their best, raising the bar for the local music and art scene.

As many of you know, I’ve been collaborating with a great number of local heroes on the Finn Miles Telltale EP. One of those heroes is Jon Pearson. Jon provided the artwork for the cover as well as a special insert for the album.

As we near the EP release I’ll continue to share background and insight into the great Des Moines crew that have collaborated to make “Telltale” happen. Stay tuned!
