Napkin Sketch is a creative collective – a group of makers under one umbrella. We each bring unique talents to the team. We use the power of collaboration to transform projects that would never move beyond conception into a reality.

Community goes hand-in-hand with collaboration, so naturally that’s one of our main focuses. We develop and foster projects that require community and art to mingle. We like to see community thrive in everything we do.

We were born as a collective in 2008 during brainstorming sessions for the 48 Hour Film Project in Des Moines, Iowa. Our team was so energetic and inspired with the ability to collectively do things previously impossible on our own. With the heightened emotions that come with a 48 hour film, Napkin Sketch mustered more enthusiasm and drive than most deadline-driven teams. The creativity in the room was astounding. Why stop after this film?

So we didn’t. We keep on creating, inspiring, making and shaking.
