We’re excited to finish our new album “Telltale” and share it with you!
Something happened a few years ago, NPR and IPR became way hip. Adding shows like Night Music and the Java Blend have helped public radio lead culture and become what (so I’m told) FM was way back in the 60’s.
So Clear Channel beware, no one likes your glitzy billboards and relentlessly boring top 40 stations. Public radio and community radio is the way to go!
Hello friends,
We’ve decided to give you a little something for free…just a mid-June pick me up. Below is a free mp3! Listen to a stripped-down acoustic version of “Face the Facts” from the Branches EP. Enjoy!

G’day,
Not every town has a great venue for musical and art; we’re really luck in Des Moines to have places like the Vaudeville Mews. Finn Miles is planning to play the more often, hopefully a few times across the summer and fall…and I suggest you get out and go to a few shows. Not just ours; there are tons of great shows all across town, and supporting a venue like the Mews helps the community of artists and the overall creativity/culture of Des Moines thrive.
Wanna go see a show?
We rocked, we read…it was amazing. Read more about Danny’s book on homelessness in Central Iowa here…
My friend Danny Heggen (of local folk group Seedlings) has just written a book about homelessness in Central Iowa. The book release is Friday, June 12th at the Mars Cafe in Des Moines, IA.
To support such fabulous work, Finn Miles will be playing at the Mars for the “post-reading” party. C’mon out and get a copy of Danny’s new book, learn more about what you can do about homeless youth in Central Iowa, and enjoy a Finn Miles show at the hippest cafe’ in Des Moines!

Heya friends,
I just thought I’d tune you in to a cool little community called “Kickstarter,” a really neat forum for crowdsourcing creative projects. It’s a innovative idea, and a great way to back art and artists that you believe in. I’m thinking of backing a few projects, as well as hoping to find a way to get invited to start my own…I’d love to be able to offer Finn Miles fan the opportunity to participate in the next EP, as well as offer them some “member’s only” goodies!

There may be no better band in the Midwest, likely in Iowa, than The Envy Corps. In light of their local legacy, and inherent awesomeness I feel obligated to suggest attendance to their Kidglove EP concert at the Vaudville Mews on June 4th.
Go ahead, pencil it in on your calendar; listen to The Envy Corps backlog and get ready to rock!
